Forms
A form is a set of questions with a link. People open the link, answer, and their answers arrive as a submission. Every form belongs to a workspace, and everyone who administers that workspace can edit it and read its submissions.
Two ways to make one
| Way | Best for | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Build it | New forms, short forms, anything you are designing now | Free |
| Import a PDF | A form you already use on paper or as a PDF | Credits, quoted before you start |
Either way you end up in the same builder, and can change anything before you publish.
A form's life
| Status | Link works | Questions editable | How it gets here |
|---|---|---|---|
| Draft | No | Yes | Every new form starts here. Back to draft returns a published one |
| Published | Yes | No, only preset answers | Publish on the forms list |
| Archived | No | No, nothing is | Archive on a published form. See Archiving |
The forms list has two tabs: Active for drafts and published forms, and Archived for forms you have taken out of use.
Getting a form to people
- Publishing and sharing: public and private forms, the two link shapes, emailing a form to a list, and being told when it is submitted.
- Prefilled links: one recipient's half of the form, filled in by you before you send it.
- Preset answers: answers the form gives itself on every submission, like the landlord's name.
Related
- Submissions and PDFs of a submission.
- Sensitive fields: how masked answers are stored and revealed.
- Team branding: a logo and colour on every form a team owns.
