Workspaces
A workspace is the owner of everything you make in FormsUI: every form, every submission, every sent document and the credit balance that pays for imports and signatures. Knowing which one you are in answers two questions at once: whose forms am I looking at, and whose credit am I about to spend?
The three kinds

Personal
Where you start. Forms you build here are yours, and so is the balance. It is the right place for one person working alone.
Team
The multi-person version of a personal workspace: colleagues share the forms, the submissions and one balance. A team has an owner, admins who build forms, read submissions and spend credit, and members who fill in the team's private forms. See Teams for creating one, and roles for exactly who can do what.
Only owners and admins see a team in the workspace switcher, because the switcher is for building and managing. A plain member reaches the team through the private forms they are sent.
A team can also carry its own branding, which a personal workspace cannot.
CivicPort community
On forms.civicport.io, a community admin works in the community's
workspace. The forms and the balance belong to the community, not to you
personally, and every admin of the community shares them. Admins are managed
in CivicPort, not in FormsUI: each one joins automatically the first time they
open FormsUI.
A community admin sees their communities in the switcher in place of a personal workspace.
The workspace switcher
The button at the top of every page, showing the current workspace's name.
Open it to see every workspace you can work in, under Working in, with a tick
beside the current one. Manage teams at the bottom goes to the Team page.
If you have only one workspace the button still shows its name, but there is nothing to open.
Everything on screen follows the switcher:

Pages that spend credit, such as importing a PDF or sending for signature,
repeat the picker on the page itself (for example Build this form in), with
the balance available. It is the same selection as the header, shown again at
the moment it matters.
Your choice is remembered for the rest of your visit in that browser tab. If the workspace you had selected is no longer available, for example because you left the team, FormsUI moves you to your first workspace.
Credits are per workspace
Each workspace has its own balance, so a new team starts at zero. Rather than
buying twice, use Move credit on the Credits page to transfer between two
workspaces you administer. See Credits.
