Teams
A team is the multi-person version of your personal workspace. It is for people who want to share forms, submissions and a credit balance with colleagues, without a CivicPort community behind them.
Everyone starts in a personal workspace. A team sits alongside it: its forms, submissions and credits belong to the team, not to whoever created them. See workspaces.
Creating a team
Open Team in the header and choose New team. Give it a name and you become its owner.
The team starts with:
- a member join code, already switched on;
- no forms and no submissions;
- an empty credit balance. Use Move credit rather than buying twice.
Team names are unique. If another team already has the name, pick another.
Once you are an owner or admin of a team, it appears in the workspace switcher, and everything you build or send while it is selected belongs to the team.
Roles

Getting people in
Two ways, for two different jobs:

Transferring ownership
A team always has exactly one owner, because its forms, submissions and balance need someone who can always reach them.
To hand it over, open the team, find the person in the members table, and change their role to owner (transfer). They become the owner and you become an admin. Ownership moves, it is never shared.
The owner cannot be removed and cannot leave. Transfer ownership first.
Leaving a team
Anyone except the owner can choose Leave this team. You lose access to the team's forms and submissions straight away. You can rejoin later with a valid join code.
Deleting a team
Only the owner can delete a team, from Delete this team at the bottom of the team's panel.
The team must have no forms left. Deleting removes the team and everyone's membership in it, and any credit balance left on the team is forfeited, so move it to another workspace first.
A CivicPort community's team
If you administer a CivicPort community, Forms gives the community a team of its own, named after the community. Every admin of the community joins it as an admin the first time they open Forms.
It is shown read-only on the Team page. There is nothing to invite, rotate, re-role or leave, because CivicPort decides who the community's admins are. Add or remove admins in CivicPort.
